KRK Rokit's are powered speakers. You feed them with a signal from a pre-amp, not a power amp. The Rockit's don't have a passive input for speaker cables. And you don't need a receiver for Rokit 8's. You could run a cable from a tablet or phone with a mini-plug on one end and RCA plugs on the other directly to the Rokit's. Something similar to the attached image which Best Buy sells for $9.99 (Insignia™ - 6' 3.5mm Mini-to-RCA Stereo Audio Cable - Black)

I'm looking at the two documents you linked me - I don't see anywhere the 6-10 ohm limitation, where are you getting those numbers? The speakers are Input Impedance (Ohms): 10 K Ohm balanced Input Connectors: Unbalanced RCA, Balanced 1/4" TRS, Balanced XLR Thank you
