“I have flush mount ceiling speakers. Each speaker at 8 amps. Once the volume hits 14 or 15, the receiver automatically shuts down and says "protect". Is there any way to bypass this? The speakers sound great, so I dont understand why it keep happening.”

Sounds like the speakers are wired in such a way that is lowering Ohm below supported levels. I'd attach a single pair of free-standing 8 Ohm speakers to check for sure.
