The 145W output power rating is using 6 ohm speakers at 1 kHz with 0.9% THD (total harmonic distortion) with only one channel driven. Not by any means a very meaningful spec. The 90W rating is for two channels driven with 6 ohm speakers with the THD at 0.09% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. This is much more meaningful and is enough of a standard spec to be useful when comparing receivers. Note: With all 5 speakers driven the output power will be noticeably lower. I was unable to find an independent review that tested the output power with 5 speakers driven. Also note that none of these numbers are the so-called "music power," a totally bogus spec that was used back in the last century to promote cheap amps.
