Yes this will work in india, however you have to make sure that power supply that you use for the Amazon Fire Stick is able to be plugged into the electrical outlet's there they are different then they are here. It also depends on the "zoning" certain electronic's only work in certain regions. Like PS4 games from USA generally do not work in foreign countries/overseas (Japan, South America, Europe ect.) NOTE: If you buy and try to use your Fire Stick in Canada and I believe part's of Mexico it WILL work.
