Kerry, if Firestick doesn’t see your router now, and it did before, it sounds like you are getting interference. Something is getting in the way of the router signal (signal strength) reaching Firestick. A router’s 2.4GHz signal has more range than 5 GHz signal but more devices operate on 2.4 so that band is more likely to get interference. A neighbor’s baby monitor can cause that kind of interference! First, you might try connecting to the 5GHz band of your router, if it has one. Without knowing more about your specific situation I would next recommend trying to connect the Firestick to a tv that’s closer to the router. If it connects when its closer, a “WIFI Range Extender” (~$40) will solve the problem. There are also Ethernet Adapters (~$20) made for Firestick which connect the router and Firestick together through an ethernet cable. The other troubleshooting steps are more technically in depth and involve settings that are internal to the router, such as assigning a static IP address for Firestick. Don’t worry though, the problem as you describe it is most often solved with a Range Extender and a Firestick is such a simple device it rarely breaks... Best of luck, hope I’ve helped.
