I haven't had this issue with this particular player; but I have had this issue with many a TV in the past. My solution was to buy a soundbar, or some other sort of surround sound system. Either one where you can set the EQ levels yourself, or else one with a built in "Night Mode" or something like it that can even out the equalization of sound. I know the answer "just buy more stuff" is a bad one, but sometimes it's unavoidable. As my dad used to say: "That's how they get ya."
