You need a compatible TV, batteries for the remote control, and discs to play in it.

I am going to assume you have a TV, Blu ray or DVD discs, a hot spot or internet service so all you will need is to hook it up to your tv then set up your wifi for streaming (VIA hot spot through your phone or internet provider). I had to get a HDMI cable for mine due to the fact that My player is farther away then the cable that comes with it would allow. Other than that you are ready to do. I have yet to set mine up to stream since my tv streams already. Hope this helps.
