The answer is that a DVD Player or BluRay player needn't have these applications since all smart TVs available in today's stores come already manufactured with that capability or else one can add something like a $29 ROKU to acquire that capability. No need for DVD /BluRay manufacturers to assume the additional cost and add that to their for sale price when the functionality is already provided in other items in the system.
