• It depends on which version of the Yamaha you have. If it was released in the past year or two, then more than likely yes. If older, likely not. It is dependent on whether your receiver supports HDCP 2.0 or greater AND can pass this through the receiver.

• Either. A simple connection via HDMI directly to your receiver and play with sound from your receiver. or plug directly to the TV (again via HDMI) and watch with sound from the TV.
