Thank you for contacting Sony, Friend. Yes, the transparency mode is fully adjustable. Using the Sony | Headphones Connect app, you can fine-tune the level of ambient sound you want to let in. This lets you select a high level to hear your surroundings clearly or a lower level for a bit more focus. Within the app, there is also a "Focus on Voice" setting in Ambient Sound Mode. This prioritizes human speech, which is perfect for needing to hear announcements or have a quick conversation without removing the headphones. You can easily switch between full Noise Cancelling and Ambient Sound Mode using the dedicated NC/AMB button on the headset itself. We appreciate your interest in Sony products. Theres also a sony-app feature you can turn on that can detect your movement/surroundings and switch accordingly without you pressing the button (i.e. cars -> switch to noise cancelling, walking -> transparent)
