Hi Clay, I have my turntable plugged into my computer with the USB cable, the AC power plug into the wall, and the audio video jacks plugged into my subwoofer. The volume is cranked and its not very loud through the system. But it does work. As far as using the sound bar, if you already have it give it a try it might work. If not contact Yamaha or Sony directly and they should be of better help. I will be doing so if I cannot get the volume issues resolved.
