You can, but I don't expect this player to play them. One thing with this player, it doesn't have bookmark pieces for time locations in files. So while you can probably convert the files to be WMA Voice or HE-AAC to save space, you can't really save your spot in the file on the player... if you want audio books, you might want an ipod for that.
