These use Bluetooth 5.0. If both devices are Bluetooth 5.0 compatible, according to ideal environment be up to 800 feet. The airpods uses Bluetooth 4.2, which in ideal environment is 200 feet. Nothing is ever ideal, and you will get about 30 feet with the Airpods indoors. Since these are 800 feet, indoors I go up and downstairs that's over 100 feet without loss of connectivity or sound distortion.
