Yes honestly it can get a bit annoying so I just turn it off and use my right hand on the headphone to use the feature whenever I want

Hi Mikey, thanks for your question. Yes, the Speak-to-Chat mode activates when it detects the speech of the person wearing the headset, but in rare cases it may activate in response to the voices of other people, ambient environmental sounds, transportation announcements, etc. You turn on/off the Speak-to-Chat mode by holding 2 fingers to the touch sensor control panel once again until you hear the voice guidance say, “Speak-to-chat activated” or  “Speak-to-chat deactivated” or by using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. We recommend checking the Help guide for this model located on our Support site.
