“My hearing is not what it used to be. Can the head phones be connected to TV audio: including receiver/home theater? So to allow for elimination of closed captioning? If not, do you know of a manufacturer and model that has this feature? Thanks.”

This actually depends on your tv/receiver. These headphones use a technology called Bluetooth. If your other audio equipment also supports Bluetooth, you can connect wirelessly. You can also connect with a cable if your audio equipment has a headphone jack. The included cable is probably not long enough, but you should be able to purchase a longer, third party cable.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your TV can support Bluetooth audio devices, these ought to work, though obviously I haven't tested them with your TV. If you have a Sony Bravia TV with digital audio out via optical fiber, you can connect a WLA-NS7 Bluetooth transmitter to your TV and then pair this headphone with the WLA-NS7 for some really nice surround sound capabilities. That may be more than you're looking for, but it's really nice.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not personally familiar with all of the technological tools to assist hard of hearing individuals with watching/listening to a tv. However, this is a bluetooth 5.2 (the latest codec I think) headphone that you could either connect directly to your tv if it has a bluetooth receiver internally. Otherwise, you can get a USB bluetooth transmitter dongle to plug into a USB port in your TV that would allow the headphone to connect wirelessly. Alternatively, you could buy a bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the 3.5mm analog jack on your TV. Newer TVs typically have bluetooth built in and you then simply need to pair your headphones with your TV as an audio source. If you are trying to connect to your receiver as part of a home theater setup, the process will be similar in terms of either connecting to an internal or external bluetooth receiver. There are however latency issues with some solutions depending on your tv/ audio receiver set up. The easiest and most ideal solution is for your tv to have bluetooth built in and then you just need to pair your brand new headphones through the tv audio menu settings. This headphone has bluetooth 5.2 which should not have any latency issues with the connection but if the source only supports an older bluetooth codec, you may have audio lagging. There are solutions to this too but it is something you might run into.
