A:AnswerHi Compatibility, thank you for your question. The Bluetooth of the iphone 14 isn’t different from the older models. So, the WH1000XM5s and iphone14 should connect without issue.
Our ultra comfortable WH-1000XM5 headphones rewrite the rules for distraction-free listening and exceptional call clarity. Two processors control multiple microphones for unprecedented noise cancelling while Auto NC Optimizer automatically optimizes noise cancelling based on your wearing conditions and environment. The specially designed 30 mm driver unit delivers superior sound quality for all your entertainment.

A:AnswerI have the xM5. Just got 2/3/23. The Sony MIC disables with PCs. At first thought it was a security issue at work with Bluetooth, but then was able to pair my Apple AirPods and my coworkers Bose Q45 and the mics worked in those. Tried to pair the Sony xm5 at home to Dell windows 11 and same problem it uses mic on PC. Played with trying to CONNECT to the hands free head set driver vs Stereo driver and it REFUSES TO CONNECT. Sony forces use of PC mic over the noise canceling mic on the headset when paired with PC. Everyone could hear the other coworkers on their calls making impossible to hear me well. The whole point of getting the Sony XM5. Even my tech guy couldn’t make it go. I do my own mesh networks and am the tech for my
Family so if after hours over three days the mic won’t connect - planning return. Went to Costco and picked up the Bose Q45 and it paired and connected in 30’seconds!!!!! OMGosh what a difference. While music was nicer on the Sony the pain on the mic not working on MS Teams and video calls was unacceptable. Bose Q45 blocks the office noise nicely and uses the Bose mics and I don’t have to mess with the drivers trying to force connection like on the Sony. If you’re just getting for music only Sony is nice, but if you plan to use for calls or video calls or PC it’s a nightmare trying to get the mics to work. The pics say it all. Sony Disconnected for headset. Bose Q45 says ready to go for music and voice.
A:AnswerIt depends on the type of glasses you have really. I have bulky plastic legs on my glasses and when I wear the headphones on the go, I only notice them slightly (resulting in me having to adjust the size). It's more when you wear them in a still environment that you truly notice, however, this when I usually take off my glasses and my comfortability is magnified tenfold. If you have thinner metal legs on your glasses you should be fine. I will probably remedy my bulky plastic legs by getting some much needed thinner glasses. Good luck on your search for some comfortable headphones and if you are still unsure you could consider getting some BOSE headphones, although, they will cost about $300+ more. Happy hunting.
A:AnswerThese are much lighter than other comparable Noise Cancelling headphones especially in the price range. Maybe the Beats are lighter but these have a far less fatiguing weight after several hours of use than the previous Sony model they replaced.
A:AnswerHi wking,
There is no mandatory subscription for the 360 Spatial Audio software, but you would need to use a music service that supports that format. Those music subscriptions do have a monthly cost. Unfortunately, that isn’t something under our control.
We take all user input seriously and will make sure your comments reach the appropriate person.

A:AnswerHi Azul, Thank you for your inquiry! Although we cannot compare the two different brands, what we can tell you is that the WH-1000XM5 headphones delivers excellent bass! A new 30mm precision-engineered driver unit featuring a soft TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) edge enhances noise canceling, especially in low frequency ranges, helping you enjoy your music precisely without ambient noise. The carbon fiber composite material is light weight and the high rigidity dome improves sound clarity, especially in high frequency ranges.

A:AnswerThe silver are actually less prone to fingerprint smudge marks than the black ones were. If you’re going to be sweating in these just know that it is a vegan leatherette on the ear phones. If you’re not gonna be sweating a lot though, like you would be doing cardio, then I think these could be a good option for you. The noise cancellation is phenomenal and the sound can really power you through a work out. I remember the
A:AnswerHi Eroglu, thank you for your inquiry. We recommend checking our website https://electronics.sony.com/audio/headphones/all-headphones/p/wh1000xm5-b to check the photo of our XM5. Please visit your local retailer to check the XM5 personally and try them. Regards, Erin
A:AnswerThank you for your question, Edward. Yes, you can just have noise canceling function. There is a physical button on the WH1000XM5 labelled NC/AMB. Tapping this button will switch from noise canceling to ambient sound mode. In the factory settings, each time the NC/AMB button is pressed, the function switches as follows.
• Noise canceling function: ON (You will hear a notification sound.)
• Ambient Sound Mode: ON (You will hear a notification sound.)
You can also select one of the following on the Sony | Headphones Connect app to set how you want the functions to change when you press the NC/AMB button.
— Noise canceling function: ON → Ambient Sound Mode: ON → Noise canceling function: OFF/Ambient Sound Mode: OFF
— Noise canceling function: ON → Ambient Sound Mode: ON
— Ambient Sound Mode: ON → Noise canceling function: OFF/Ambient Sound Mode: OFF
— Noise canceling function: ON → Noise canceling function: OFF/Ambient Sound Mode: OFF
Hope this helps.

Erin

A:AnswerHello Ro,
Thank you for reaching out with your question. We can certainly help you with that!
The WH-1000XM5 headphones can work with most Sony TVs, especially if your TV supports Bluetooth audio. These headphones use the A2DP Bluetooth profile, which is the standard for high-quality wireless audio streaming; so as long as your TV supports Bluetooth with A2DP, you’re good to go.
Pairing is usually pretty straightforward through your TV’s Bluetooth settings, and everything you need for this connection is already included with the headphones, no extra accessories required.
Just a quick heads-up: some older Sony TVs might not support Bluetooth audio, or they might only support it for certain features. If your TV doesn’t have Bluetooth, you can still use the included audio cable to connect the headphones directly to the TV’s headphone jack (if it has one).

A:AnswerHi there,
Thanks for reaching out with your question!
The WH-1000XM5 headphones should work fine while you're wearing hearing aids. They’re designed to be comfortable and compatible with most hearing devices. However, since hearing aids can vary, we recommend trying them together if possible to make sure they fit well and you get the best experience.
We really appreciate you thinking of Sony for your purchase!
Best regards,
Estefany
A:AnswerThe headphones come with a cable that you can connect to your device without needing bluetooth. You can buy these and still use them with this wire that they provide when you buy them.
