Hi Frank, Thank you for your inquiry! The noise canceling will decrease but not eliminate the noise of your lawnmower. The phone doesn’t need to be on you to work, there is no set amount of feet because there are different parameters and possible interference. If the phone is outside, you should be able to connect phone to headphones and mow your lawn. The Wi-Fi wouldn’t be involved in this type of connection. Hope this helps!
