Actually I had to call Sony TV customer service .. The sound of the TV came from the program on TV and not the VCR or Netflix. The service rep help me program the TV internal so I could hear on my headset what was actually playing on the TV. Call your TV manufacturer customer service. They understood exactly what problems I was having and in 10 minutes with a few clicks here and there everything solved.
