• You should be able to use them for both, as long as you have RCA or 5mm stereo outputs available.

• Yes, but not without manually switching the audio source, unless you connect the unit to a stereo receiver and connect and run all your audio equipment through the receiver. Then, you can use your receiver remote to change the audio source selection without having to physically move (unplug and replug) the audio patch cord to the desired audio source.
