Most often, you simply plug it into the TV's headphone jack. However, sets with larger screens don't have headphone jacks, so you have to connect to the auxiliary audio output jack. The most common variety is a pair of rad/white stereo jacks. Many TVs have optical or digital audio output jacks instead.
