Yes, this is possible. When I use my headphones I turn the TV volume to zero and adjust the headphone volume control to what I want. I will also listen to the TV using it's speakers and sound comes out of both the TV and the headphone speakers.

Note: I plug my headphone transmitter into the audio out headphone connector on a Samsung HDTV. I do not know if this will work with RCA connectors but I would imagine so.

We can, but it depends on what TV you have. Sometimes you have to try different ways to plug it into the tv.

If it is connected to the same device, it is not possible.
