• No, these speakers are powered by 120v AC and are not well suited to automotive use including the 1996 Chevy Suburban. There are much better options for that use. See the automotive area of your Best Buy store or web site.

• Depends on how you want to use it. I stream music on my cell phone while listening to it on the bluetooth speaker. Since the speaker fits in the cup holder it works just fine. However, do you mean connecting to a car audio system that has builtin bluetooth. Than, I don't have an answer for you
