“Geek squad protection... need honest answer... I am interested in these headphones. I plan on keeping these for a good three years. Does the Geek squad protection cover accidental handling damage like if I drop them and they break and or I spill coke on them would it cover that OR just an extended warranty as long as they are not damaged by accidental breakage/damage???”

• Check sony warranty, they replaced mine after one side started to charkle.

• These headphones replaced other Sony headphones that my son sat on and broke the plastic connection between the ear part and the supporting structure. I had the 2 year warranty and they refunded my original cost (with in-store credit) after 20 months. Make sure you save your receipt.

• No, they are just extended warranty. I'm not sure why they don't offer accidental damage coverage, but I checked and they do not.
