Q: QuestionI have a Linux computer running Mint 21. Bluetooth V 5.53. I want to stream my music library from my HARD DRIVE (not the cloud!) to this speaker which would be located around 20 feet away from the computer. Would it work?

Q: QuestionDoes this have Alexa built-in? So when I take it outside and it is connected to my home network, I can still ask "what time is it" or "what is a Waterbear"...and Alexa will answer.

• A:Answer Hi Greg, Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, the wattage of this speaker is not a public specification that we disclose at this time, and here is why. Watts tells an incomplete story when judging a speaker’s performance. To be more accurate you would need to know the watts, the dB rating, and frequency range (Hz) of all the speakers in the unit. Also, the distortion (THD) rate and the number of speakers driven for the rating of watts presented on the box. Yes, those things are not standardized. Then do some math, and you will get a general understanding of the loudness and range of the speaker in question. Then do that for all the different companies and you could compare with specs, though even if they were equal, they may sound different due to processing. At Sony we try to give you the absolute best sounding speaker, that has all the features our customers have told us really matter to them. Hope this helps! Craig

Q: QuestionJust got the XG300 yesterday. It seems to often hiccup/cut-off the songs I play from my iPhone 10. The phone is between 2 and 10 feet away from the speaker. Is there a way to stop this interrupted play from happening? Would the larger speaker be better?

Q: QuestionMy dad has this speaker and wants to buy a cd player he can play through this speaker. Any suggestions??? He loves the speaker and wants to expand the use of it and he doesn’t want to convert all of his CDs. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Q: QuestionHow to I connect the bluetooth speaker to my Spectrum remote. I contact Spectrum and they say it can't be done. I had the speaker sync at one time. I can't get the remote to adjust the volume on this speaker. I am connected with a MEE Transmitter.

Alternatively, if your audio device supports AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile), you can use it to adjust the volume and operate to play, pause or skip to the beginning of the next/current track. You can also download the Sony Music Center app to your smartphone, which allows you to control the volume of the speaker, select your favorite playlists, cue the next song, or change the lighting patterns and sound modes of the unit.
