How does the Sony speaker work and is there something else I need to purchase I am real unfamiliar how it works null

You would need some other device like a cellphone with Bluetooth and a music app to connect to the speaker to play music. The speaker just makes it louder!

You can enjoy listening to music of a Bluetooth device and operate it by the speaker via Bluetooth connection.
