“Could you recommend a speaker to project live vocals while playing the drums & piano in a backyard setting with about 20 guests? I don't want the vocals to sound like a cheap, tinny, PA speaker.”

This product is the one. It’s absolutely fire…(great). I’ve done that very thing with great success.
