  • Questionhi an thank you,how can make this sytem volume higher than 13

    Asked by joe.

    • Answer Hi joe, Thank you for your inquiry. While the Sony SRS-XB700 is operating on power from the rechargeable built-in battery, it is possible for the sound to become low if the battery is running out of power and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. If the sound becomes low during use, it is recommended that you adhere to the following procedure: Turn off the speaker and sufficiently charge the built-in battery to restore the device's optimal performance. Turn off the speaker. Charge the built-in battery sufficiently. Hope this helps! • QuestionDoes this have optical input ?

    Asked by mhamrick56.

    • Answer Hi mhamrick56, Good question! The SRSXP700 does not have an optical input. But it has an AUDIO IN jack ( 3.5 mm), MIC1 jack (6.3 mm), and MIC2/GUITAR jack (6.3 mm), and Bluetooth feature. However, the SRS XV900 does have an optical input if that is a must have option. • QuestionWe are interested in connecting 2 of these speakers to have music playing throughout our space. Is there a maximum distance they can be apart and still be connected to play the same music without any lag? Also, what is the best way to connect them?

    Asked by Cece.

    • Answer The longest a friend and I tested the distance between our speakers was 80 feet it was in a parking garage, pretty far and no lag, make sure the speakers are in full charge tho they tend to lag at 10% battery and the best way to connect them is with the Sony music center, make sure they up to date and have your phone close to the speakers

  • QuestionI have an older Sony RDH-GTK37iP. How does this compare to that model. Does it have equivalent bass and volume. I see where Mines output is 420w bit the only info on these newer ones is a rating of 100w and that can't be right.

    Asked by Sephiroth7.

    • Answer So, great question Sephiroth7. Watts can be 1 important factor in deciding which speaker to buy. Here is why we do not disclose this information. Example: We will pretend both companies used the exact same design and materials… which never happens. 1. Company A has a 10w speaker Company B has a 1w speaker This seems like a no-brainer 10w is louder than 1w…right? 2. Now we get to see the efficiency of the speaker. Believe it or not, these speakers have the same loudness rating. Company A has a 10w speaker/ 90dB SPL = 100dB Company B has a 1w speaker/ 100dB SPL = 100dB 3. Now add frequency response. Company A has a 10w speaker/ 90dB SPL/ 10hz – 30Hz Company B has a 1w speaker/ 100dB SPL/ 10hz - 10,000Hz (much wider) So, had I purchased based on watts, I would have bought the wrong speaker. Unfortunately, posting watts will often lead to a spec war. One where performance is less important than watts you can put on a box like the example above, and this is why we don’t post them. At Sony we try to give you the absolute best sounding speaker, that has all the features our customers have told us really matter to them. But here is a quick overview of the features of the SRSXP700: The XP700 is built for a venue-filling sound. With Omnidirectional Party Sound provided by the X-Balanced Speaker Unit and the front and rear high-efficiency tweeter, it sends out rich, clear sound in all directions. • QuestionCan I connect my Pioneer DJ mixer to this speaker?

    Asked by Lee.

    • Answer Hello, I have been testing several dj mixers for a few months and the srs-xp700. My experience has not been entirely good. When playing music there is a considerable delay between the sound of the mixer and the speaker. I have tried to contact Sony's technical service and no one has been able to help me or find a solution. It is a latency or lag that is very annoying. I would like to know if there is a solution or if it happens to someone else. Bye
