If that does not happen in a different network, may be the problem is not the phone. Can you try a different Sim card? Sounds more a provider issue than phone's

I've had the XZ2 for over 2months under Tmobile and haven't had that issue at all. Check with your service before you decide to change phones. I absolutely love the product!
