This speaker is designed to be powered and charged using the supplied AC power cord, which requires a standard 120V wall outlet (like the ones in a house). It does not have a direct 12V DC input, so if you're looking to charge it in your car, you would need to use a power inverter to convert your vehicle's 12V DC power to 110V/120V AC.
