“Are these IPX8 or are they not submersible? I've seen they claim to be IPX8, but also they're not submersible. However- in order to be IPX8, they have to be submersible more than 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. So it's either both or neither, which is it?”

Yes, the earbuds have IPX8 waterproof protection, but the charging case is not waterproof. The earbuds are not suitable for swimming because the water weakens the Bluetooth signal which will result in the sound cutting in and out.
