does it have a place to put the gen 2 pencil? null

There is space on top where your pencil attaches to the ipad. Also has a clasp to hold it in and closed.

You can keep the Apple Pencil (2nd gen) in the case but it has to stay on the magnetic charge strip. There is not a separate slot away from charge for it.

It has space for pen but it is only secured by iPad magnet
