• No, the charging outlet is open. This case is not advertised as water proof - but there is no annoying flap to open to charge it either which is what I like.

• No exposed. If you have a docking station it will make your phone to heavy and you will have to take this off everytime to charge. And it's like stuctioned on. Really hard to get off. Also hard to get on.
