“Is the back of the case a slick plastic, or is it a rubbery surface?”

• The back is a hard plastic. Not the chintzy kind of thin plastic that cracks. I've had 2 Speck Cases (only to change design) and they are fantastic. Rubberized around the phone. I highly recommend them. In fact, I bought 2 more as gifts for my 20 something kids!

• Slick and flexible, not hard at all. It fits my phone perfectly. It isn't slippery though.

• It's a slick plastic. The speck cases that say candyshell grip, have rubber grips on the back. Ones that say candyshell inked are slick plastic.

• Not slick but it is smooth. Bought a couple of these for my teenage daughters phones. No issues with gripping phone with the Supernova or other Inked designs.
