It is a little plastic, but to be honest it is a great case.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The outside is mostly a plastic with a little bit of rubber around the corners, but it's not really slippery. I have really dry hands and it doesn't slip out of them at all with this case on, but phone will slip all the time without a case on.
