The battery can be used up to 10 hours. And, yes, this unit can be used for intense work.

I personally have an older model I use for work and one of my favorite things about it is how it can bend backwards into a tablet. I will often fold it back so that the keyboard is facing down and use a wireless mouse and keyboard for doing productivity at my desk. Then when I take it out of the house I just fold it back to laptop mode and off I go! This model has a 3 cell battery which is capable of up to 10 hours of mixed use! Excellent processor, a large SSD, plenty of ram and the 360 design make this model one of the top choices.
