My fan doesn’t always run when plugged in. I did have power supply issues and finally the entire computer broke down after a month when I had the leather portfolio spectre prior to this one. I really liked the leather portfolio version but no cooling fan was the problem on that one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When the computer is plugged in the battery is in a state of charging or alternating between discharging and charging. Similar to a phone, a lot of waste heat is generated while charging and using the device. The fan is removing the heat from the components. If you believe there is an issue with the operation I recommend reaching out to Best Buys geek squad or HP support.
