- Answer On the Best Buy website the digital version is laid out with a title like so Splatoon 2 Digital - Nintendo Switch [Digital Download] Also after you scroll past the image you will see bold letters that say digital download Instructions

QuestionHow many controllers do you need to play in single user and multiple user play?

- Answer To play single player you need 1 Nintendo Switch, 1 copy of the game and either 2Joy cons or 1 pro controller. To play multi player, EACH PLAYER needs their own Switch, their own copy of the game, and either 2 joy cons or 1pro controller.
