• Does not add height. It doesn't look like it, but when installed properly it secures the washer and dryer from practically any discernable motion. The first time, the installation was wrong and the washer and stacker tore themselves apart.

• No it doe not. The dryer is placed on top of the washer. The kit is then placed to secure the two units together.

• I don't think it adds any significant height to the overall height, possibly 1 cm if that.
