• I haven’t heard anything about it needing to have online for campaign, there is an offline mode for split screen, I’m not sure what else has offline features.

• The FULL game isn't on the disc. Game is too big. As long as you can connect at a friend's house and download it. You can absolutely play the campaign offline.
