• Yes it’s portable and also works while driving if it’s exposed to the open sky like from a sunroof. It requires the roaming plan for that.

• The standard kit included with the Starlink mini is extremely portable. However it does require an external power source. If backpacking it would require a battery pack and preferably solar panels to recharge the pack. I had previously purchased a Jackery power cube and a solar panel kit to use when camping.
