“Does Star Link work from inside or does it need a clear view of the sky like old satellite dishes?”

• It will work best outside, but I tried it indoors and it did work. Trouble with my indoors was finding an unobstructed view. I have too many trees and bushes blocking the sky view.

• Not sure what 'like old satellite dishes' means as all satellite dishes I'm aware of need a clear view of the sky. But to answer your questions, yes, it needs to be outside AND have a clear view of the sky. In Norrth America, it'll work best if it has a northern sky view and also towards the center of the continent.
