• The mic light turns red when you use the on headset mute button showing when the mic is muted. This does work on consoles and it does actually mute the mic on consoles as well.

• It depends on which console. If you connect the Arctis 5 via USB to the PS4 both the earcup illumination and the microphone mute LED will work. However, if you are connecting to an XBox ONE via the controller there is no access to power, so neither of the illumination components will light up.
