Yes, the Arctis 7 is wireless. It also has a metal headband instead of plastic, and the ski goggle band is longer and wraps completely around the headset. The 7 also has inputs and outputs on the transmitter. The input lets you hook up something like a phone for wireless audio, and the output can be used to connect speakers, which switch automatically when you turn the headset on and off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the 7 has the sound card in the headset instead of being a external usb. Also I'm pretty sure 7s ski band has a mechincal adjustment feature. But the sound and mic are exactly the same. As for wireless headsets, while it will never be as fast as wired I don't think you will be able to tell the difference between the 2
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have extensive experience with wireless headsets, and the simple answer is yes, wireless headsets do work very well. The Arctis 7 will actually pack more than just the ability to be wireless. It will also feature a better mic, and new soundscape technology in the speakers for the headset. The headband will also be more easily adjustable as well. I will be picking up the Arctis 7, I hope this answer helped.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No such difference with the 5's and 7's, the 5's have RGB color and the 7's are wireless. Other than that, the sound quality and the microphone quality is the same. I was thinking the same but I'm glad that I stuck with the 5's cause I dont have to worry about connecting every time between devices, I can instantly plug and unplug.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Spec wise the only difference is that the 7's actually have slightly worse mic quality (probably due to maintain wireless power). This headset claims that on wireless the delay is essentially negligible. is it worth it? It should perform almost exactly to the same degree as the 5's. To me, I usually favor everything wired since you know there will never be any delay or lag. To others the wireless is 100% worth it. It all depends on if you really value the wireless ability's that highly. some people i know will pay the extra 50 without a second thought. I will say the cord that comes with the 5's is pretty short so if your moving around a lot the wireless may be worth it.
