• Should be able to, i have used a usb extender for years and had no problems, but you should have 2 other usb ports on the PS4

• It comes with a USB extension cable. Dongle is USB c. It has an a male to c female extension cable

• As far as I understand the blue tooth end of it to connect is a c type, not usb.

• You can probably run the hard drive from the usb in the back and then plug this into the port in the front.
