Can this be connected to a usb extender? I have a hard drive on my PS4 that needs to be plugged in directly to the console so I run a usb extender for my wired controller and Turtle Beach headset I have currently. null

While our headsets come with an extender, you certainly would be able to use your own with ease.

Should be able to, i have used a usb extender for years and had no problems, but you should have 2 other usb ports on the PS4

It comes with a USB extension cable.  Dongle is USB c. It has an a male to c female extension cable

As far as I understand the blue tooth end of it to connect is a c type, not usb.

this actually comes with its own USB extender for the dongle.  On top of having a USB-C charge cable.

You can probably run the hard drive from the usb in the back and then plug this into the port in the front.
