I had mine plugged into my PS4 for awhile. It runs the default rainbow lighting effect but as far as i know you cant change the rgb settings while plugged into the PS4 but i could be wrong.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will not be able to control the colors or how it changes or speed it changes on a console (their software is only PC). If you plug it in a USB port on a console, it will still light up by default (changes colors in a breathing fashion), but you will not have any control over it.

Please try again later.To answer both your questions the lighting is not changeable or customizable but the lighting turn on the moment you plug in the USB cable also I run a 27in (Msi gaming) and 24in (work/research) monitor on my pc and sometimes i wish my 27in msi was larger! If you can swing it I think a 31" would be great so long as you aren't buying aftermarket duel monitor mounts! (kind of a pain to find at a good price)
