• All the Roku control does is power on/off the tv and the volume up/down on the TV. It won't control the channels on your actual TV. If you use the Hulu or Youtube TV apps on the Roku unit it will change those channels. If your LG TV is a smart TV you maybe able to download the LG app on your phone and you can use it similar to your LG original control, but it won't work on your Roku at all. Hope this helps.

• I think you can. My TV is Samsung, not only can I use roku remote to control the channel and volume, but also turn the TV on and off.
