“I just purchased and set this up for my in-laws. We set it up to stream their Comcast/Xfinity. My question is, will they be able to pause the streaming? And, can they record without their Xfinity box? We unhooked the box to keep things clean.”

You can not record comcast cable without the Xfinity DVR box. I believe you can pause what your watching but it very limited on any other features such as fast forward, slow motion, ect.
