Not sure what this means, the roku sticks plug directly into an hdmi port , so no adapter is needed, unless your device has an oddly Place hdmi port.

I used no adapter . Plugged stick into hdmi port on tv .

I had no issue placing this into my HDMI port and setting up to watch within minutes, i did not need an adapter to get this started. i then removed it from my TV and placed it into my receiver for surround sound and was up and running within minutes without an adapter there also.
