“Will this cabinet stand alone, or does it need to be attached to a wall?”

• The unit is short enough that it doesn't have to be mounted to a wall, unless the space has sagging or awkward floors then wall mounting is a good idea. Mine is held in place by the shear weight of my movie collection :).
