Dear Best Buy Customer, The recommended extension cord to use with the Sun Joe - Electric Lawn Dethatcher is either a 50 foot 14 gauge or 100 foot 12 gauge. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions please let us know. Thanks Customer Service Team Snow Joe + Sun Joe
